Thought I'd introduce myself:
I'm Cheryl. I'm embracing my writing era. I'm an IT professional by day. I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, reading, and binge watching movies and shows (hello, Bridgerton and Doctor Who fans).
I do one thing that scares me each year. Last year it was participating in a MudGirl run. I...am not athletic.
I'm happily married. I met my spouse in college, and subsequently introduced him to his girlfriend (hahaha). We reconnected several years after college, dated, got married and have been drivin each other crazy ever since.
I have two miniature dachshunds. Everything you may have heard about these feisty dogs are true. I love them, and they can be an absolute handful. They are lucky they are pretty.
In addition to my day job and writing, I co-host the You Only Go Once podcast with my buddy Eileen Walsh. We have a great time giving space to our guests to share their stories.
My debut book, My Stay with the Sisters, is about Grief and Gratitude (the sisters), who open up their home for mourners to explore different emotions that come from losing a loved one. It helped me connect with the various emotions I experience after the loss of my Mom to pancreatic cancer in 2022. I also hope the book provides solace to others.
